Alternative Administrator
Odette brings precision and heart to every aspect of our daily operations. She ensures that families experience a seamless, supportive journey from their first call through ongoing care — coordinating logistics, compliance, and team workflows so our clinical staff can focus entirely on the children.
Karina Hidalgo
Director of Nursing
Karina oversees our clinical nursing team with the expertise and calm authority that families of medically fragile children need to feel truly at ease. As Director of Nursing, her deep knowledge of complex pediatric conditions — from ventilator management to seizure protocols — sets the standard of care at Kids In Care every single day.
Dr. Alexis Perera, MD
Medical Director
Dr. Perera is a board-certified pediatrician with over 30 years of clinical experience. A graduate of Instituto Superior de Ciencias Médicas de La Habana and residency-trained in pediatrics at Lincoln Medical & Mental Health Center in New York, he brings exceptional expertise in the medical management of complex pediatric conditions. As Medical Director of Kids In Care, Dr. Perera oversees the clinical standards that ensure every child receives safe, evidence-based, and compassionate care.

OUR STORY
Kids In Care PPEC was founded with a singular purpose: to provide exceptional Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care for medically complex children in South Florida. We believe that every child — regardless of their diagnosis or medical needs — deserves access to expert clinical care in a warm, nurturing environment.
Our facility was created to fill a critical gap in pediatric care. Many families of medically complex children struggle to find a setting that combines hospital-level nursing with developmental programming, therapeutic services, and genuine compassion. Kids In Care bridges that gap — offering up to 12 hours of daily skilled care where children are not just treated, but truly seen and supported.
At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to treating every child with dignity and compassion. Our team of nurses, therapists, and educators works together to create individualized care plans that address the whole child — medically, developmentally, and emotionally. We are honored to partner with the families we serve and to play a role in helping their children thrive.

Kids In Care PPEC proudly serves families across Palm Beach County and Broward County. Our facility is conveniently located in Greenacres, Florida, with free door-to-door transportation available for all enrolled children.
Our staff is fully bilingual in English and Spanish, ensuring that every family can communicate comfortably and receive the support they need in their preferred language.
